Jhapa, Nepal – Under the Rupantar Project, a Mini Tiller Handover Program was conducted with the objective of enhancing the productivity of arecanut-based multi-layer farming systems in Jhapa.
To facilitate efficient land cultivation in arecanut orchards, two units of women-friendly mini tillers (with trailers) were handed over to two arecanut farmer groups through a farmers’ meeting.
The program was attended by the following distinguished personalities:

A total of 40 arecanut farmers participated in the program.
The initiative is expected to promote mechanization in agriculture, support women-friendly farming practices, and contribute to increased productivity in arecanut-based farming systems.
